Remake of Josie Goes Shopping

While getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow, I have finally begun working on a cute 18" doll outfit I originally wrote 10 years ago. The yarn I used is no longer available so I have rewrite the pattern. The sweater has a brioche stitch which I just love. It looks like a soft rib but you never have to purl. Great for reversible fabric sbecause it lays very flat, has a lot of flexibility without being stretchy. I'll add the pattern next my next blog.

First Entry

Today is Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. This is the beginning of a blog for the Sutter's Gold 'n Fleece Yarn Shop. We are located in northcentral Wisconsin, between Minocqua and Eagle River  just outside of SaintGermain. And it is snowing!!! We love snow here, snowmobiling and cross country skiing are big winter time activities here. In fact my latest pattern is a headband with earflaps made out of a new soft super bulky yarn, Boulder from Tahki. Lori asked me to make her one to allow for steam release while she's skiing. It turned out so cute that Claire encouraged me to write out the pattern. It is available free on Ravelry.
